Its unique thixotropic nature allows sufficient active material to be applied in one coat, by brush roller or airless spray, even overhead. Storm Repel has been designed to penetrate deeply into silicate based mineral substrates like brick, mortar and roofing tiles to give maximum reduction in water absorption and protection from water, pollutants and freeze/thaw damage. Storm Repel has a high penetration depth and creates a low water uptake in the substrate with good ‘beading’. Treated surfaces remain breathable and can be over-painted.

Unlike conventional water repellents Stain Repel is also oleophobic i.e. oil repellent. This serves to leave the treated surface stain-resistant as both water and oil based staining is much more easily removed. The treated surface remains breathable. Stain Repel is ideal for the treatment of facades and pavements composed of cement based render or blocks, natural stone, concrete or similar materials. Caltra Dustproofer reacts chemically with cement-based substrates to form a microcrystalline seal in the surface pores of the concrete or screed.
